Who we are

A national chamber, built for the electric era.

The Ghana Electromobility & Consumer Chamber (GECC) is a non-profit industry body incorporated under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992). We are Ghana's dedicated voice for the people, businesses and institutions shaping the country's transition to electric transport — from passenger cars and commercial buses to two- and three-wheelers, marine vessels, and the charging networks that power them.

Our Mission

To unite stakeholders across Ghana's electromobility ecosystem — championing policy reform, technical standards, consumer protection and local capacity so that the EV transition is safe, equitable and Ghanaian-led.

Our Vision

A Ghana where every commuter, driver and operator benefits from clean, affordable and reliable electric transport — supported by world-class skills, infrastructure and consumer rights.

Founder's Message

The road ahead is electric — and it must be Ghanaian.

Ghana stands at the threshold of one of the most consequential transitions of our generation. The vehicles that move our people, our goods and our economy are changing — from combustion to current, from imported fuel to home-grown energy. This is not a distant possibility; it is happening now, on our streets and in our workshops.

I founded the Ghana Electromobility & Consumer Chamber because this transition must not simply happen to Ghanaians — it must be led by Ghanaians. It must protect the commuter paying a fare, the driver earning a living, the artisan learning a new trade, and the young engineer designing the systems of tomorrow. Policy without people is paperwork; technology without trust is a burden.

Our commitment is clear: to advocate for sound, forward-looking policy; to insist on safety and quality standards worthy of the Ghanaian consumer; to build local skills so that no workshop is left behind; and to hold the ecosystem accountable — from importer to operator to regulator.

Join us. Whether you drive, ride, build, teach, regulate or simply believe in a cleaner Ghana — this chamber is your platform. Together, we will make the electric future fair, sustainable and unmistakably ours.
